Note: Web saves are not persistent across updates. It is strongly recommended to download the game and play it natively on Windows or Linux.
Warning: Since version 1.0.2, future versions of the game no longer recognize saves from before 1.0.2.
- Windows solution: If you are using the Windows build and want to recover the old saves, move all the files from "C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\The Eighth Hour" to "C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\The 8th Hour"
- Web solution: Unfortunately, I cannot find a way to recover saves on the web version. Luckily, this game is primarily knowledge-based, so the save data is not necessary in continuing a playthrough. If you would like to match your new save data with the previous save data, you just need to revisit the "devices" of the characters which you have already visited (successfully log back into them).
